John O. Grimm, M.D. – Retired
Pediatric & Adult Spine Care and Surgery
Since joining Tri-State Orthopaedics in 1989, my sole focus has been treating spine injuries and disorders. Helping my patients regain an active and pain-free lifestyle is of great importance to me, as well as to my colleagues in the practice.
From the start of medical school, I have had a passion for evaluating and treating spine problems. My training entails the completion of two fellowships: one in spine surgery and one in pediatric spinal deformity. This training, along with approximately 30 years of experience in medicine, helps me to confidently recommend the appropriate treatment on a case-by-case basis. I have a particular interest in treating challenging spinal conditions such as spinal deformity (scoliosis, kyphosis), degenerative conditions, and failed previous spine surgeries.
Please know that just because I am a spine surgeon does not mean that you will always get a surgical recommendation. I will always try to solve your spinal problem with nonsurgical treatment first. Surgery is always the last resort.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing golf, traveling, and watching the Colts.
