As a men’s soccer player at the University of Evansville I had to compete at the highest level. In the spring of my freshmen year I tore my ACL during a match, this was the second time as this previously happened in my high school career. It is very difficult to come back from one ACL reconstruction let alone two, Dr. Saltzman made this process for me as smooth as can be. Not only did the surgery go well but, I was back playing for the Aces that fall. Throughout my college career I never had to doubt if my knee was going to hold up it felt as strong as it did prior to any of my injuries. I am now 6 years removed from my ACL reconstruction and have had a wonderful college soccer career, played multiple other recreational sports, Qualified for the Boston Marathon, and have also competed and finished an Ironman. It is fantastic knowing that I can do anything I want and not have to worry about my knee.
