My perfect career choice is medicine because it combines my desire to help people with my innate interest in the field of science.
I specifically chose physical medicine and rehabilitation as my specialty so that I could help my patients regain their physical functionality. I enjoy seeing patients who understand their responsibility in optimizing their health and play an active role in their own treatment. It is my goal to give them the ability to help themselves. By talking with patients and listening to their concerns, I am better able to provide the correct course of treatment and care for their condition.
I gain the most satisfaction from helping a patient increase their level of activity and mobility while providing strategies to help them become as independent as possible.
