Hand, Wrist, Elbow, & Shoulder

My philosophy in treating patients is treating them as if they are family. I try to remember with every patient the teaching of Sir William Osler “Listen to your patient – he is telling you the diagnosis.” This emphasizes the importance of listening and trying to educate the patient about their diagnosis so they can make the best decision about his/her care.

The complexity and beauty of the musculoskeletal system is fascinating to me especially the challenging cases. I enjoy assisting patients in returning back to their normal lifestyles. I try to remember that not only am I helping the patient but also the families that are depending on that patient to return back to his/her normal activities.

Today, my practice focuses on the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. I have a special interest in arthroscopic treatment of the rotator cuff disorders, shoulder arthritis and sports-related shoulder injuries.
